Our scope is deliberately focused: we do not provide engineering design, construction supervision or other regulated technical project services. What kinds of projects do you manage?+
We manage business and operational projects, such as technology implementations, office set-ups and relocations, market-entry programmes, process improvement initiatives, product launches and multi-party commercial projects. We do not manage engineering design, construction supervision or other regulated technical project services.
Which project management methodology do you use?+
We apply recognised project management principles across the lifecycle and adapt the level of formality to the project. Larger or higher-risk projects may warrant a more structured, stage-gated approach, while fast-moving initiatives may benefit from iterative planning. The aim is enough control to deliver reliably, without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Can you work alongside our internal team?+
Yes. We can lead a project end to end, act as project manager within your existing governance, or support an internal project lead with planning, coordination and reporting. We agree roles and decision rights at the outset so everyone knows who is responsible for what.
How do you keep us informed?+
We agree a reporting rhythm at the start, typically weekly or fortnightly status updates covering progress, milestones, budget, risks, issues and decisions required. Steering meetings are scheduled at key points, and urgent matters are escalated promptly rather than waiting for the next report.
What if our project involves construction or technical engineering work?+
Those elements must be handled by appropriately licensed professionals. SOMAK can manage the wider business programme, such as planning, budgeting, stakeholder coordination and reporting, while coordinating with the licensed engineers, contractors or consultants responsible for the regulated technical scope.
